  1. I agree and don't get me started on the missing hybrid stuff lol....Remote Summon is a feature thats popping up also...All the flash and leather goodies in Lincolns these days can't compete with upgraded and advanced tech in today's market.
  2. If anyone finds a tweak let me know thanks Everyone!
  3. I just leased my third Mkz Hybrid.....16..17 and now a 2019. As a longtime hybrid owner i have noticed that every year we seem to lose something. I also had a 2014 Fusion Hybrid. My 2014 Fusion and 2016 Mkz hybrid in the instrument cluster had the blue battery SOC icon showing the high voltage battery level in real time with arrows above and below the blue battery showing charging or below to indicate discharging. The 2014 and 2016 also had EV+. In my 2017 Mkz Hybrid the indicator arrows were gone with no explanation. Now my 2019 mkz hybrid Reserve 2 has no arrows no SOC blue battery and EV+ is now gone!! There is a generic looking regen battery but it disappears after regen stops. Please advise.
  4. I took my 2017 mkz hybrid to the dealer for a power trunk issue...would not close sometimes... and i asked them to check my self upgraded sync 2.3 install. I couldn't get it to report the upgrade to Lincoln. When i got my car back I checked the Sync version and it is now 3.0. They upgraded it without me asking. No charge of course!
  5. They are back up now..Just downloaded the Sync 3 2.3 update

  7. Thanks a Lot.....the MKZ will get slightly worse fuel economy due to the additional weight and wider tires for sure. I was mainly concerned about the so called tweak for this..."The new software, Layden suggests, has the "engine speed harmonized with the [pedal] tip-in," producing a car that "feels connected, feels engaging, more like a driver's car." The engine response, he said, now feels "intuitive" to the driver"....this was posted on Greencarreports.com.
  8. I want to know if anyone has test driven a 2017 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid vs a 2013 thru 2016 MKZ Hybrid....To report any driving differences with the new software improvements that Ford/Lincoln were supposed to install on the new models?
  9. I apologize i did indeed miss the Moderators below your name. I'm well aware of the programming tools needed to program or re-program a PCM. i was referring to the SYNC updates that we performed ourselves in the past few years...3.6 3.7 3.8 etc. Some of these updates allowed our hybrid vehicles to perform better..MPG Reduction..although higher speed EV mode operation...etc.My last vehicle was a 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid in which i performed both the 3.7 and 3.8 updates Myself. I believe that if you are indeed a Moderator...My Original question has been answered. Thank You for your Enlightenment!!
  10. I wasn't referring to OTA updates....First of all i was making people aware that software tweaks were made on the 17 models...Second i was creating a topic to discuss...Maybe a moderator or two might actually read these discussions...Finally...I could have easily contacted Lincoln but then you wouldn't have known the answer....P.S,,,I was referring to the update via usb through my Lincoln Touch. Thanks for the reply!
  11. Will lincoln send these updates to 2013 thru 2016 mkz hybrid vehicles?.http://www.greencarreports.com/news/1101362_2017-ford-fusion-hybrid-energi-software-tweaks-for-drivability-improvements
  12. i understand the hybrid economics..its my second hybrid.but the display indicates that a change has been applied when i select each setting. i would never use the sport setting...but i was really looking forward to a nice softer ride...my last vehicle was a 2014 fusion hybrid and the ride seems pretty much the same.
