  1. My biggest complaint about the front end is that Lincoln has a history of iconic design themes and they've gone a completely different way. In my 20s I bought a 66 Continental just because of the look. You can see the lineage even though one is huge, blocky, and stoic whereas the MKZ is aero and swept. but there is a line that goes from one to the other. On this update, I don't get any sensation of Lincoln beyond wallpapering the grille with the shape of the logo. Kia could do that. To me if you're going to go to the center section grille on a Lincoln, it needs to hearken back to the Marks of the late 60s and 70s with the bold center piece, rather than stealing the Jaguar style. Lincoln has enough styling DNA in their own history - there's no need to borrow another marque's look.
  2. I REALLY don't like it. That front end is terrible. They've removed some of the most distinctive features of their best selling car. I wonder what genius told them that was a good idea.
  3. I'm not a fan of the redesign. I think it's a dumb move to have spent a decade building equity across the entire line with the split-wing grille and then abandoned it for one that makes the car look more like a Fusion. There's a little Jag in there, but as much as there is Aston Martin in the Fusion looks. I really don't care for the new center stack - looks like they caved to the auto writers who don't like the clean lines of the touch sliders, and want knobs and dials like they had on their 60's muscle cars. Those guys must really hate Teslas. Glad I got mine before the design language changed. First FoMoCo product I've liked enough to buy in 20 years. But with this new direction, I'll be looking at other options next time.
  4. Hi guys - New to the forums and the MKZ. I've run a Valentine 1 in my mostly GM cars for years with an InvisiCord pinned into the rearview mirror. On the '14 MKZ the mirror is nicely covered. I figure a little time with a dremel will let me notch that to run the cable, but I'm curious if anyone has other ideas or previous experience. TIA.
  5. Great looking. Excellent mod. Is masking easier than removing the grille?
