  1. That's a horrible experience, link. You are certainly handling it well - never give up never surrender to the auto companies and dealers. They need to make this whole thing right for you. At my local FLM dealer 10 or more years ago when I had a new Lincoln LS I brought the car in for something, cant remember what. When I went to pick it up, I found that the entire passenger side of the vehicle had been dented/scraped by probably a forklift. They say to me - it was like that when you brought it in. Luckily I was able to pull out the repair ticket and point out that the tech had, at my request, looked the entire car over and found NO BODY DAMAGE. So they were forced to repair that damage that someone there had done. Lesson learned ALWAYS have the tech do an inspection of your car when you bring it into ANY repair facility. I wish you the best with this issue and your Z.
  2. Stinks that they can't fix it. I'm afraid they might make mine worse so I may just ignore it for now. So far it's only done it twice and I think, yeah, it was really hot days and the roof had been open in the sun. I'm thinking maybe I can modulate or control it a bit by stopping and starting the closure?
  3. Haven't heard that one. Will listen for anything that might make that sound. I think R2D2 made some great suggestions. Check all the connectors in the center console. Is your Navigation card plugged in properly?
  4. Really looks nice. Thanks for info.
  5. There were 3 things we required when looking for a used mkZ hybrid - inflatable rear seat belts, THX stereo and the pano roof. Got them all and the roof is fantastic and I can see out back no problem and opening that thing up is almost like a convertible. Much better than a regular sunroof. I have on a couple of occasions, gotten the vibration on closing it. I'm going in for free 20,000 mile service next week, I might tell em about it or might not. I'd be really interested in hearing if Passinos has gotten his fixed?
  6. So cjs - the question was about build dates to avoid. Sounds like yours might be one of them, so what is it?
  7. Hello, all, glad to have this forum available to us mkZ owners. We have a 2014 Sunset/LightDune mkZ hybrid and we absolutely love it. No problems at all. It's wife's commute car but I grab it whenever I can. We had a 2013 Ruby Reb/Charcoal hybrid but it was totalled and wife and 15 yr old nearly perished but the 8 air bags and crumple zones saved em. The girl who crossed 4 lanes and hit em head on at combined speed of 110 mph was not so lucky. Wife said car saved them and wanted another right away. They did sustain injuries because firewall intruded several inches into cabin and both must have tensed up and absorbed the force causing 2 broken feet for driver and crushed L4 for daughter. Both are recovering well. Thank God and Lincoln.
