Anybody have photos of the rear taillights on the 2017 MKZ? I just love my 2016 MKZ and hope they don't screw up the beautiful taillight design.

Heads up to all you 2.0 MKZ Owners, just because your engine has been qualified as 'Pursuit Approved' by the prestigious law enforcement organizations, it does NOT allow you to go hot rodding around town. Just kidding. Seriously, this is great news for us owners. I know my 2016 MKZ has impressive performance after driving it off the dealers lot last month and had to check the actual speed times. 0-60 is 7.1 for FWD (AWD is 6.9).....15.3 Quarter Mile at 94 MPH.(autofiles.com) Using 87 octane....26.5 MPG...Mostly city. Hey, this MKZ weighs in at almost 2 tons...so I'm happy. Not taking away from the bigger V-6 brother, I just love this car. Google today and the article is posted. You can't get the white DRLs on the Standard 100 package. I just contacted Lincoln Concierge and was advised. Pretty cheap of Lincoln...especially with all the Kia, Hyundai and little Hondas running around in my neighborhood with the cool white DRLs.

I contacted Lincoln Concierge to see if they had any information on finding any models. Only Ford does on vehicles like Transit, Mustang , Fusion (merchandise.Ford.com) could be found. I also emailed the seller on ebay....all the remaining die casts are red.Oh well.

Did you buy on ebay? Is red the only color....I have a white platinum MKZ.

Any particular brand to buy?

I just bought a new 2016 Lincoln MKZ and was wondering what any Z Owners used on that black glass rear deck that is between the trunk lid and rear window. I don't believe it will take waxing. Is it simply glass? If so, what about spraying Rain X on it?

I used to use Liquid Glass on my cars until I noticed it left fine spider web marks/swirls on my black Taurus. I discovered it has a mild cleaner in it. I stopped buying it after that! I now ONLY use Meguiar's Gold Class Carnauba Plus Paste Wax.....it has no cleaners to scratch your car. Wal-Mart sells it for about $11. Always use micro fibre towels with waxing.

I actually worked at Ford in vehicle operations, so I am familiar with the process..and it was a great job. UPS logistics now handles vehicle distribution for Ford. After the railcar arrives in Michigan, the vehicles are offloaded and eventually transported via haulaway carriers to the dealers. I will see how well the Lincoln Concierge rep does with locating my delivery. She said she would call me Thursday.

I ordered my MKZ September 1st and it was built on September 21st. Research Maniacs website will supply your window sticker. I called Lincoln sales to inquire on my delivery to dealer, since it was shipped rail from the plant. I was impressed at how helpful they were. I was told delivery could be by this Friday, but they would verify and call me back this Thursday with the information. The Lincoln Concierge rep gave me her personal extension to call if I had any questions and she thanked me for buying a new Lincoln. Wow.

Yes, I spotted the MKZ on Castle also...the distinctive taillights in the dark set it off. I also saw the 2016 MKZ commercial on Sunday night's ICE ROAD TRUCKERS /History Channel. They played it twice using last year's Matthew McConaughey driving a Silver MKZ.

I am curious about how many weeks it actually took for delivery? I ordered my MKZ on September 1st and dealer tells me the delivery is expected mid October. It appears about 7-8 weeks.

What do you use on your tires to make them look that good?

Good thought on the white vinegar...but it also requires a wax polish over on the area you cleaned, since vinegar cuts through any wax. White vinegar also works on any bug splatters on the front fascia.

What air pressure are you running in your tires? I run 35 PSI summer and 40 PSI in winter months. It really helps tire longevity and improved mileage.

Agreed. I was looking at Turtle Wax Jet Black Endura Acrylic Shine which is claimed to keep shine longer than others. Problem is if any of it touches the wheel....it must be immediately washed off or it will stain the wheel! Yikes. I place my order in 4 weeks for a 2016 MKZ and will ask the dealer what they use! Thanks.

I would stay away from a oil/gas blower, but instead use electric multi speed blower to avoid any oily film. It's great around moldings , head/tail lights,wheels, etc....gets out all the hidden water. I also recommend washing in early morning to avoid sunlight and allows time to dry off water and avoid spots.I use a heavy micro fibre drying towel. I just bought Ice Spray wax and did my entire car in very short time. No hard rubbing at my age, just Spray and wipe with a micro fibre polishing towel. I would love to get my hands on that tire dressing the dealer uses to make the tires look incredible. I currently use Tire Wet which is okay but dealer dressing is best!

One other noticeable change with 2016 MKZ interior is the LIGHT DUNE SEATS ARE CHANGED TO CAPPUCCINO!
