  1. With my new 2015 MKZ, I'm on my 5th Lincoln (previous vehicles being 2003 LS V6, 2006 LS V8, 2009 MKS, 2012 MKZ).  I like this car a lot, great gas mileage, comfy, lots of electronic toys, very dependable, great dealer close to my office.  No regrets!

  2. I recently purchased the Cargo Net (Part No. DP5Z-54550A66-B) for the 2013-2016 MKZ from a merchant on eBay.  Since this net was different than any other I've used, I though it would be useful to share my impressions and some photos.

The net itself is contained in a long black zippered bag that has elastic hooks on either end.  The elasticized hooks attach to the lower anchors near the trunk opening.  The bag keeps the net stowed neatly away until it is needed.  To deploy the net, unzip the bag and attach the elastic corner hooks on the mesh net to the upper anchors in nar the trunk opening.

So far, the net is working great.  It's not cheap at $50, but it is a versatile design and excellent quality.

  3. Mine has one recall notice, something about light intensity.  It was on my Lincoln Owner web page for my car.  I also received a notice in the mail about it.

    Recall Date: APR 27, 2015

Recall Title: PARK LAMP INTENSITY CONFIGURATION NHTSA Recall Number: AWAITING#
    Lincoln Recall Number: 15C02

Recall Description: ON CERTAIN 2015 LINCOLN MKZ VEHICLES, WHEN THE HEADLAMPS ARE ACTIVATED, THE PARK LAMP PHOTOMETRIC INTENSITY EXCEEDS THE MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE INTENSITY SPECIFIED IN SECTION 7.8.13 OF FMVSS 108. FORD IS NOT AWARE OF ANY REPORTS OF ACCIDENT OR INJURY RELATED TO THIS CONDITION.

I'm in Connecticut, so I expect I'll be getting a Notice about the bolt corrosion too.

  4. Well, the Rola trunk organizer is great!  It is very well-made, and is designed for things like helmets, footballs, track shoes, and other sporting gear.  The three dividers are adjustable, and I set them in equal distances so that they can hold a bag of groceries in each of the 4 compartments.   It has mesh pockets on the side for flat items like papers, maps, etc.  Also, the bottom has a rubber-like material that prevents it from sliding around.  My organizer has not moved at all during normal stop and go driving.  Overall, a worthwhile purchase I would recommend.

The model I purchased (and linked to above) is 38 inches wide. There is another model that is 25 inches.  The 38 inch model fits in the MK Z trunk just fine.

  5. I also love the White Platinum. Tuxedo black appears deleted for 2016.

According to the 2016 MKZ Order Guide, Tuxedo Black has been replaced with a new color called Black Velvet

  6. Hello, Todd. Welcome. :)

Thanks, and thanks to Robert Lane for the production info!  April is not far off!  My current lease actually ends in June, so a 2016 MKZ is in my future!  After all this snow goes away!

    I really like my 2012 MKZ.  It's my fourth Lincoln (2003 LS V6, 2006 LS V8, 2009 MKS, and 2012 MKZ).  The 2016 MKZ will be #5!
