Hello. I have an 08 MKZ. I'm having an issue with the "trunk Ajar" alert going off when I start driving. I checked trunk. Open and closed trunk. And it still goes off. Seems to happen randomly. Sometimes it does, then it doesn't. Also annoying cause dome lights stay on.

Look arund the trunk...the sensor is prob real close to be NOT contacted when trunk closes.... adjust the switch a little higher.

Looked around. Didnt find sensor. I may have to remove the carpet/liner to find it. Will try and do that this weekend. Thanks

IIRC, the sensor is not a standalone part.  It's in the trunk latch itself. See if you can adjust it at all and spray some WD-40 on it.
