Oil change at Ford Dealer

Recommended Posts

Looking to change from Lincoln dealer to Ford dealer for future synthetic oil change on my 14 MKZh.  Assuming it's same engine as 14 Fusion Hybrid.

Anything to lookout for as far as amount of oil, particular parts such as oil filter and so on...?

Hi jm98. If you have an oil change performed at a Ford Dealership, they will use the same synthetic blend oil and Motorcraft oil filter/parts as your Lincoln Dealership.  The amount of oil is whatever is listed in your Owners Manual in the maintenance specifications chart (and whatever amount your Lincoln Dealer was using). To make sure the correct amount was used, always check the oil level yourself, after having an oil change performed.

Good luck.

Sounds good.  Hopefully Ford dealer will not be pushy as Lincoln dealer for other services.

Was gonna ask why you want to change, but you answered the question.  I guess all dealers are different.

My Lincoln dealer has been top notch (most of the time).

I've never had my dealer (Ford and Lincoln) be pushy about anything, though they will tell you if they notice anything amiss. If it's something that needs immediate attention they're clear about it. During the 15 point inspection on my car they found a weeping right rear axle shaft seal... "nothing to worry about now but we'll keep an eye on it". And the complementary wash is always nice. 🙂

My local Lincoln dealer just installed 4 new tires I just purchased did a complete inspection of car functions including things like battery test brake check collant test since we are getting into the cold weather and oil and filter change all for $61.00 I thought that was a pretty darn good deal !

My sister takes her new BMW in for an oil change and tire rotation all for the smoking good price of $145.00! They are trying to sell her a maintenance package for her car for around $5,000.00 for 85,000 miles! Keep in mind it does not cover any broken parts it just covers all general maintenance! I told her do not do it it's not worth it. She told me she will get a Lincoln next time.
