Greetings, everyone.  While you're figuring out the new forum software, I figured it was a good time to let everyone know that we've recently received a few complaints regarding use of profanity and off-color comments on the forum.  I know we're all adults here and occasionally we all use "adult language" in everyday speech.  However, there are some members who are offended by this in the written form and we should respect that, even if we don't necessarily agree or want to dismiss them as prudish.  Everyone should feel comfortable here.

So please,  take a second to consider language that might offend someone else before you post.

I thank you for your cooperation,

Art

Moreover, we'll start issuing warnings to correct repeat offenders.  PLEASE keep the forum clean and respectful on each other.

not trying to come off as snarky... but aren't there language filters on forums for that very reason?  I know that I usually have to go into my profile options on other forums and disable it because it's annoying.

I must have missed something.  I haven't seen anything.  Unless they are under threads that I do not frequent.  Of course, someone is always offended by something.

Can you give an example of an 'off-color' comment?  I would really like to know.
