GPS outage Saturday 6/24/17

Recommended Posts

My wife and I were heading up to Jacksonville FL Saturday mid-morning and I had no NAV service in the car. In fact my NAV screen had a red-x on the letters GPS indicating that there was no (not-enough) service. I also tried my smart phone and NAV services were down on it too.

I google a few GPS type monitoring sites and none of them had any outage planned or reported....Am I nuts (well I know I am)  :)

Anyone else have that issue especially in the Southeast USA?

I had no GPS issues yesterday but thanks for the websites. ;)  I did experience a brief outage a couple of weeks ago.

gps "outage"  The only one i remember wasn't an outage, but a military test of a jamming device. The gps signal is very week. Sometimes just being in a steep canyon can block it. A single sattelite outage should be invisible if it were to ever occur. A systemic gps outage shouldn't happen.
