My car has the Terra Cotta leather/black carpet mats and carpeting combination.  I'd stick with the black all-weather mats.  I have the Lincoln all-weather mats as well, but only use them if there's snow on the ground.

Very nice!.  Enjoy the new one.  Yes, there was a significant interior upgrade in 2017 and Sync3 has it all over Sync2.

Sounds like you should have bought a Honda Civic if your after that awesome 4 cylinder fart can sound.  As already noted, the MKZ is a luxury car, not a tuner.  You will reduce the resale value with all your mods.  Potential buyers will quickly recognize that a teenage driver owned the car....no bueno, when the see the fart can exhaust, CAÍ and vinyl wrap. 🙄.  It’s your car though so tear it up.  Detroit is making new ones every day.

I'd double-check for fitment issues before going with that wheel/tire combo.  Your next mod should be to take that dealer sticker off the decklid.😄

Ha.  My wife gets angry at me when I say those exact words.  If I am here for another car, there are still other choices.  I was on my way to order a Genesis G70 Sport last year when the Lincoln dealer called and made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

IDK if China is a larger and more profitable market for Ford, but they still have a strong demand for sedans.

What sub model is it? Ie: Premier, Reserve, Black Label, etc? Does it have the 4cyl, hybrid, or V6? FWD or AWD? A few more specifics can help us provide an opinion on the pricing.  Right off the top of my head,  that price sounds a bit high,  but knowing the particular details will help get you better input.

As bbf2530 says, the recommended TP for the 3.0 is 38 PSI.  I keep mine at 40 cold.  And yes, starting out at 40 cold, you'll see readings of 42-43 once they get heated up.  I like a firm ride.  I also keep it in 'Sport' all the time.

Your tires were nowhere near overinflated and certainly, a "talking to" is unwarranted here unless you want to be remembered by your service department folks for the wrong reasons.  Look at the sidewalls on your tires for what the maximum allowable pressure is.

I'm glad to hear that your issue resolved itself, but I'm rather surprised that you didn't get one of the several 'low battery' messages that can be displayed.

As bbf2530 notes, be prepared to buy a new battery in the near future regardless of circumstances, as they only last 3-4 years these days, generally speaking.  Being discharged further reduces the lifespan as well.

There's no time frame for replacing the water pump.  It's not a maintenance item.  The reason that Honda recommended changing it when changing the timing belt was that the labor involved in changing the belt is virtually the same as changing the pump.  The logic is that as long as the teardown is being done to change the belt, which drives the pump, is being done, it makes sense to change the pump at the same time.  If the water pump fails after the timing belt job is done, it'll have to be done over again thereby incurring double the expense unnecessarily.

Your engine has timing chains, for which there is also no recommended maintenance on.  I would not go to the expense of replacing the water pump unless it's leaking.  You could potentially be spending a lot of money for no reason. The pump may never fail while you own the car.  The good news is that very few failures have been reported and the few that have failed did so at very high mileage.  This, of course, is not to say that it can't happen earlier.  If you're worried, I'd watch it carefully for any signs of weeping, leaking, noise, etc. If noted, take care of it immediately.

I guess years of production with minimal changes does have an affect.  Your father telling you never to buy a first-year car wasn't just repeating an old-wives tale.

Interesting how the Fusion is considered mid-size and the MKZ is in the 'compact' category.🤨

When you replace the 12V battery in these cars, the battery management system (BMS) has to be reset.  Otherwise, the car "thinks" that there's still a dead battery.  Leave the car undisturbed for 8 hours and see what happens.  IDK if this will fix the problem, but it's worth a shot.  It won't cost you anything.

Hi spanky. A code for a cylinder 6 misfire may have nothing to do with the coil pack/packs. What was the code and what is the full troubleshooting instructions for that code?

Is your 2017 MKZ still within the 4 year/50,000 mile New Car Warranty? If yes, my recommendation would be to make a service appointment and let the problem be properly diagnosed and repaired.

However, the first step would be to properly diagnose what the problem is that caused the misfire and code. Then follow the proper steps to identify the root cause.

Now, the following is simply my opinion, which everyone is free to listen to or ignore: There is no reason to purchase performance coils to replace all the coils. The Motorcraft coils are quality parts.

The Forum Help & Suggestions area is intended for questions and comments about the operation of the website itself.  Questions and comments about the MKZ should be posted in the most appropriate category in the forums.  Accordingly, your question is being moved to another area.

WRT your questions, do the mirrors fold and unfold if you use the door-mounted switch?  If so, try the reset procedure as outlined in your owners guide:
If that doesn't work, check fuse #25 in the passenger compartment panel.  Other than that, try to get the car into a place where the ambient temperature is above freezing.  It's not likely that this could happen, but check the settings in the menu to make sure "Auto-Fold"  setting is still enabled.

No.  There's no other Hybrid badging on the MKZ.   The Fusion has door and trunk badging.  Fire/Rescue teams are fully trained WRT alternative fuel vehicles by now and their rule of thumb is to treat all vehicles at a crash scene as Hybrids, etc. until otherwise determined.
