  1. Well, not always but thanks for the compliment. And you're welcome.
  2. Topic moved from 2017+ Lincoln MKZ forum.
  3. Do you have the multi-contour (massaging) seats? If not, then there are no adjustments available on the screen.
  4. The LINCOLN trunk lettering is only available from Ford as a set. See here. If there's a nearby salvage yard, maybe you could try there. Or you could consider debadging the decklid entirely.😜

2017 MKX wheels for an MKZ

All 2015 MKZ wheels are stamped "ET55" on the back. This means that they are 55mm offset.

    Ford Fusion production extension.

Hmm. I Wonder what changed their minds. Good news for us, though. On a side note to that, the Ford Fusion Hybrid became the 2nd-best selling hybrid vehicle in the U.S as of last month, surpassing the Prius.
  7. I really don't see how the electronics of a 2017 FCIM could work on a 2015.
  8. I would say no unless you also converted to Sync3.

The End of my 2017 MKZ

Run the wire up the A-pillar, not across the dash top like that. It gets tucked under the door weatherstripping, the in towards the fuse panel. I have no wires showing in mine except for the short section that runs from the headliner to the cam. Even that is hardly noticeable since it runs alongside the rain sensor/camera box.

The End of my 2017 MKZ

Right. Just lift up the top edge slightly and push the cable under. These break very easily if you try to take them off completely.

    Perforated Leather Blues

I'd have to say that it was something in a pocket. I've had 2 Lincoln LSes and 4 MKZs with the perforated Bridge of Weir leather and haven't had this happen. I don't find the leather flimsy at all. It doesn't cost anything to ask but I don't think that Lincoln will cover this under warranty. I'd just have the upholstery guy repair it.

    Instrument panel lights issues

I thought it was assumed that the OP was talking about nighttime conditions. If not, then there's nothing further to discuss. In addition, if Autolamp was on, the lights should have come on if they pulled the car into the shop. They always shut them off when they pull the car into the service bay for that reason.

    Instrument panel lights issues

I had a 2010. They didn't have DRLs. Only Canadian cars had them.

    Instrument panel lights issues

Sounds like a Smart Junction Box (SJB) issue.

    Backup Camera quits

Check the camera wiring harness along its length to where it enters the interior of the car. IIRC, there was a TSB for backup camera wiring chafing but I can't find it right now so IDK what MYs are covered.
  17. That's somewhat encouraging. But then again, automakers have been known to file for trademarks and then never use the name.

    MKZ Seat movement/noise (TSB)

The 2013s had a recall for seat frames: Lincoln apparently has continuing problems with seat suppliers. My 2014's right side bolster on the driver's seat broke away internally when I sat up to get something out of my pocked and put pressure on it when I leaned to the right.

    What’s your next car?

A light tap on the accelerator pedal of the 'Resume' button. I do both. It was a leap of faith for me to let it stop on its own. It takes some getting used to. It's occasionally a little late and abrupt for my taste. I would brake earlier on my own but it's still a great feature.

    What’s your next car?

I thought that the adaptive cruise was a gimmick. I wouldn't be without it again. I had a '14. Now I have a '17, and they upgraded the ACC to include stop and go. This makes heavy traffic that much more bearable. It's still aggravating to be in stop & go traffic but this feature takes the edge off a little and makes it less fatiguing for sure. They do know when you're leaving, don't they? One of mine always puts his favorite toy in the suitcase. It's as if he's saying, "don't forget about me." I still can't conceive of driving with a cat unrestrained and in your lap. But it's great if you can do it. May daughter-in-law doesn't own a cat carrier for hers either. They moved from NY to AZ by car with them (and 2 dogs). A 4-day trip.

    My first Lincoln

Welcome to the MKZ Forum. Let's hope that the MKZ doesn't go the way of SAAB.
