Trunk opens without key fob

For some reason My trunk from my 2014 MKZ opens even with the key fob in the house

and this is using the button under the bumper. The doors stays lock just the trunk is there a setting

that I am missing, anyone had this experience before and can help out before I take it to the dealer.

Reprogramming of the BCM needs to be done by a dealer.  There was a TSB for this.  I had it done on my 2014 after receiving a letter from Ford.  If you're still under the B2B warranty, there will be no charge.

That is a great ad campaign. I like the Frankenstein theme. I’m born in ‘79 and heard of the 442, but not the W part.

Just an update, I took my MKZ to the dealer and they did an update to the BCM and now the trunk wont open unless I have the key fob close to the car.

Thanks again to Drolds.  All under warranty.
