Matt at Livernois informed me he's handed over my strategy code information to the calibration team. Will follow up on what things to expect, and then just arranging time to get the Z in.

This is going to be exciting. Will follow up as I get progress with Livernois. 3.0T will be a true sleeper in its category.

Keep the updates coming. If you had to guess, would you say you'll be dyno tuned within a month?

Depends on Livernois really. They'll get back to me when they have something.

I actually may end up working in Michigan due to work, so that'll make it even more feasible to let them work on things while I live in the area for a few months, if not longer. It'll be good for updates and tweaking.

Glad to hear that!    Zalvern, have you actually had your car in Livenois' shop or are they creating a tune based on another Z that they had on their dyno?  Here is a quick little conversation that I had with them on another forum:

And don't forget to develop a tune for the 3.0 twin turbo Lincolns! Gotta have it by Spring!
In the works!!!

I actually replied asking if they got a shop car to use or something. Not sure if they mean wanting mine in person, or I'll buy a tune and start trying out as a customer.

I still want to get a dyno run in at some point though.

It sounds like they plan to have a tune ready for you to try out.

When you said strategy code above, is that something you download with Livernois' tuner?

Yes or can use FORScan/Ford IDS to pull code parameters. I just used my Fusion's Livernois tuner to pull the codes though, as it gets directly to what Livernois will want. It's safe to connect to the port of any vehicle for basic code pulls, as its not like I was uploading a tune file with it.

Got it thanks. My only tuning experience was with canned tunes from DiabloSport for a Grand Cherokee SRT8 I had once. I like how they are tailoring the tune to your car this way. Effective and although there is always some risk with any modification, you can trust this will be safe.

It is coming along of course. Livernois posted a dyno teaser clip on their page.

Thank the local resident who was able to bring their vehicle in more quickly for dyno and tuning. They'll share the numbers of course later on.

I assume the tune will also be applicable to the Continental with the same engine. Certainly hope so.

Their facebook page shows a 52 HP gain at the wheels with their tune. Torque gain was not as impressive. They can do wonders with the transmission so I suspect their tune will make a nice upgrade.

Not bad. So 50+ additional wheel hp should put the Z into the 12s thru the quarter. That and a harder launch and quicker shifting.

Yes, I would expect mid 12s. Livernois typically releases improved versions as the gather more data. Apparently this is just Version 1 so there might be quite a bit more on the table.

I would love to get this tune.I ran my 3.0T at a closed track and the best we could do was 13.3 on the 1/4 mile.0-60 was 4.7 seconds. If this tune works out, this car will be a beast for its price point.
