So it would be a newer version of what we have now ? The one I have now is the same version that was on my 13...Don't understand if they have an updated version why not put it in the newer models .....

I had my 2014 about a year when the update became available. I think they update maps annually. The maps are not from Lincoln/Ford but a third party vendor. Try the link that Artie (Drolds1) posted and you should be able to purchase the new maps.

Going back to my Garmin days there were new locations that took quite a bit of time to appear in the maps. Some I could go to in Google Earth but Garmin still did not have it in the map. Could be the same thing going on with the map provider for Lincoln. No rhyme for reason for how long it takes.

It seems odd that your 2013 with the original maps shows up to date when I was offered and bought an update for my 2014 this year.

Based on what I've seen on the MKS forum, save your money.  There are owners who live in new or relatively developments who were hoping that the updated maps would show the new roads, POIs, etc. but it didn't happen.  It seems to take them about 3 years to catch up.

BTW, the current price of $149 is a $50 reduction from past years.

Joe, have you noticed any significant updates on yours?

I really don't have any new locations that I know of. I have used it to go to some locations that were located deep into rural areas and it was right on.

I still have my Garmin that I use when I go out of town and use a rental car. I update the maps every quarter. Everything I have in the Garmin I also have in the MKZ .

I ordered the update as soon as it was available.

I just checked and I received my SD Card update on May 4, 2015 and I paid a total of $161.47. If you took delivery of your 2015 in January 2015, that would potentially make mine newer than what came in your 2015.

If you send me an email to my junk email address with the address you want I could see if it's there. Let me know.

The 3.7L oh yeah!

When (and IF) I ever update my ver4, it will be to see if the POI list has been updated. There are many POIs that are not listed, and more annoying, POIs that have moved or never existed where they are listed. The other day, I was looking for an ATM. I was directed to an address that I doubt ever had an ATM there.

Garmin is much better, and a smartphone just can't be beat for being up to date.
